Hair care Routine
Hi guys! your
welcome to SkinSam . Today’s post is all about hair care by that
I mean, you will get to know anything and everything about by hair care
routine.
First, I’ll tell you about the
condition of my hair:
·
I have really
frizzy hair
·
Scalp is on the
oilier side
·
Lengths are drier
·
Never color
treated my hair ever
·
Never done
chemical treatment as well
·
On the longer
side
·
Wavy in nature
That’s pretty much everything about my
hair type. To be specific I have never really followed any sort of hair care routine
but that really reacted negatively. I am very lazy, I feel really lethargic to
oil my hair because oiling isn’t something I prefer.
Avoiding oiling really caused me
excessive hair falling and roughness. The shine of my hair just vanished. Then,
I decided and made my mind to just start it anyway.
Oiling
For oiling you can use any oil that
suits you but for me a single oil doesn’t work because I have multiple issues,
such as; hair fall, dry length, frizz, etc..
I apply a mixture of three oils:
·
Castor Oil – for hair
growth
·
Olive Oil – for nourishment
·
Coconut Oil – for
moisturizing
This
mixture is my go-to hair oil but if you don’t have it, you can apply mustard
oil and turmeric (haldi) mixture.
Hair
loss is something I have been facing since past 3 years but back then, my hair
stopped growing hair. Now, I do face hair fall to a certain extent but CASTOR
OIL has really helped me grow my hair. I have baby hair in forehead area and my
bald spots are also covering up really well.
Olive
oil really nourishes your hair. If you have really dry hair then you should definitely
try it out as it is the best.
Coconut
Oil is known for its goodness. But now-a-days there are “n” number of brands
coming up with different products but still none of them can really be compared
to an EXTRA VIRGIN COCONUT OIL. If you have a normal coconut oil, I would ask
you to finish it up and then buy an extra virgin coconut oil as you will see a
visible change in the texture of your hair.
Best time for
hair oiling:
Now
that all of us are at our home, I will suggest you’ll to oil at night. Oiling
your hair at night helps your hair get all the benefits of the hair oil.
Keeping the hair oil on for good 7-8 hours will give you miraculous results.
If
you have extremely oily hair only then you should apply in the morning and keep
it for 2-3 hours, unless keep it overnight.
After
oiling, I braid my hair and for my length I just fold it upwards and tie it
with a rubber band, this process promotes hair growth.
Making
Any hair care routine is incomplete
without this step. For masking I love the Aloevera DIY Hair Mask. This is a
hectic process to be very honest, but it is worth every effort to make it.
Process:
·
Pluck the aloe
leaf from the plant
·
Wash it twice to
make sure there’s no dirt left
·
Cut it into small
pieces
·
Take a single cut
piece and cut out from both the sides to get rid of the spines
·
Cut the remaining
piece in two parts
·
Scoop out the gel
with help of a spoon
·
After your done
collecting gel, blend it in a mixer
Now, its done. The mask will have
really runny consistency, make sure you apply it nicely. Keep it for good 2-3
hours and then go to shower.
If you will be applying the hair oil
in morning, you can add the packaged aloevera gel in the oil itself.
This hair mask really helps softening and
smoothening of hair in one wash.
Shampoo &
Conditioner
Before stepping into the shower make
sure you comb your hair to detangle the frizz. This is a very basic step but it
is equally important. While shampooing your hair, you hair should be flipped.
Start shampooing from the backside and make sure your scalp is done and then
move towards the length.
I like to apply shampoo in two steps,
first I dilute it in water and apply it all over my scalp and length, then
rinse it off with plain water. After that I apply a second round of shampoo but
this time I take a pee size amount, and its done.
Now, apply conditioner and keep it for
2 minutes and then rinse it off.
I don’t apply any serum as my hair
doesn’t need it after all this process.
Don’t comb your hair after your done
washing because it leads to breakage of hair.
